"Charlie the Lobster Trap Guy" of Downeast Nautical began salvaging in Key West, Florida in the late 1960�s. He recycled and restored hatch covers, wooden ship doors, portholes and decking for decor in famous Key West eating and drinking establishments, including the Pier House's Chart Room and the original Pepe's on Caroline Street. Currently, Downeast Nautical Salvage scavenges wharfs, piers, boat salvage yards and marinas from the Maritime Provinces of Canada to the coasts of Florida & Louisiana. All items on our website are either authentic or made by hand from traditional materials, and reproductions are noted as such. We have inventory locations in Eastport and Wells, Maine, and in south Florida. Design. If you've created a design of your own using wooden moorings or any of our items, please either email a copy of your design as an attachment in PDF or JPG format, or fax to: 775-416-8308. We will review your idea and let you know how we can help. We can also offer designs based on your ideas. Delivery for wholesale orders of regular inventory is FREE along the I-95 and I-75 corridors and some other locations, depending on quantity delivered. Ask about delivery for specialty, oversized or heavy items such as anchors and cannons. |
